Mr. Mohamed Fawaz established Altaj factory in 1945 where began to prodcuse candies by hands, and then semi-automatic for producing caramel and other products, and after the development of these products the factory started to produce chocolate and chewing gum, in addition to producing caramel and candy.

In 1975, Al Taj factory went towards specialization in producing caramel candy and other products, which led to improving the products, also the production lines has evolved to become fully automated.

The factory Was renamed to Mohamed Fawaz Sons, which did effect in terms of continuous improvment and demonstrated the quality of the company's products inside and outside Syria. In 2009 The factory added chocolate producing line and leading to integration of diversity and quality.
