Conex , was established by the
federation of Syrian chambers of commerce and selection of business men in 1991.
It is presently the only national inspection company operating in Syria .
The company's capital is held 40% by various Syrian chambers
of commerce , and 60% by private shareholders in proportion not exceeding 5
% for each shareholder , in order to ensure the neutrality of its decisions
in its field of activities.
The
company's main objectives are :
to provide professional
expertise in the inspection and control of various goods , anywhere in the
world inside or outside Syria and to issue certificates especially concerning
the verification of quantity , quality and
specifications , safety and packing of the products and then conformity it

to perform inspections
according to national and international standards and norms as well as particular
specifications of contracts
inspection and control
of all sorts of agricultural and manufactured product , machinery , equipment
, tools ,and manufacturing processes.
control of loading and
unloading , transport and storage facilities sampling of all goods , laboratory
testing and analysis of quality and specifications.

performed by inspection companies for goods before and after shipment , at
loading and discharging premises
