AL-Jalaa Sports Complex in AL Mazzeh.

This project was built in 1976 as part of the sports facilities for the 5th pan - Arab Olympics in Damascus , in the new Mazzeh area, on a lot 120000 m2 of total area.
This sports city includes a football stadium for 15000 persons, a club around three swimming pools with a seating capacity of 2000 persons.
This city includes also , basket-ball, volley-ball, hand-ball & tennis courts. Within the sports city a 60 double rooms first class hotel was also constructed .
The study & execution were completed in a record time 10 months. Drawing were given to the contractor as soon as they were completed , and pre fabricated reinforced concrete elements were used for the first time on a large scale .

The Stadium

Designed for 15000 people, the stadium has a football field 100*70 m & a track of 400 m long covered with a plastic all weather resistant material. The main stands are, three floors high : the ground floor includes the dressing rooms, bars & toilets. The first floor has the electronic equipments .
Under the remaining stands, storage areas , bars , & W.C have been provided .
